13% of all US Catholics attended a Traditional Latin Mass in the Past 5 Years: Traditional Catholics are 7.1% of all practicing Catholics in America

From the Pew Research extensive statistical study of American Catholics:

13% of Catholics say they have attended a Traditional Latin Mass (TLM) at least once in the last five years, including 2% who say they attend a TLM weekly today.

Now, let's break this down.

The same study says, "28% attend Mass at least weekly." That means that 1 in 14 Catholics who go to Mass at least weekly in America attends a Traditional Latin Mass (weekly, which we would assume to be Sunday, or Saturday Vigil in the mass of Paul VI, a commandment of the Church that would characterize the minimum for a practicing Catholic).

And of course the major finding that 13% of all people who call themselves Catholics in America have attended a Traditional Latin Mass in the past 5 years, which includes most of the hostile post-Traditionis Custodes period.

13% is a LOT. Much higher than the naysayers would like to admit...

2% of permanent TLM attendees, meaning over 7% of weekly massgoers, is a quite good number. Surely more than any of the Eastern Rites in the US, which have several bishops... And which no one wants to interfere with (correctly, we might add). Probably more than all of the Eastern Rites in the US put together.
